Kickin' it in the 'Burbs

Hello Folks!

In today's segment of travel I will getting out of the city to enjoy life in the Seattle suburbs.  On July 1, I traveled via a 20 minute bus ride to Bellevue.  Bellevue is a wealthy city that is currently being targeted by high end brands such as: Gucci, Prada, etc.  The downtown area is dotted with new skyscrapers that house office space and multiple malls.  Unfortunately, there are no pictures because I forgot my camera on this trip.

While in Bellevue, I stayed with some family friends.  There were generous enough to host me and I enjoyed my time with them.  Upon arrival, I was treated to some excellent sushi.  The set-up for the restaurant consisted of a long conveyor belt carrying Japanese dishes.  When desired, the dishes could be picked from the belt by customers and then the plates would be counted to calculate the bill.

The next day, I accompanied my hosts to their sons' training camp.  After watching, my hosts and I went to Dim Sum and the farmer's market.  Both the Dim Sum meal and the farmer's market were excellent.  Once again, no pictures (sorry).  The day ended with a great BBQ and a trip back to Seattle.
