Fremont Festival

The Fremont Festival is the start of a series of festival events in Seattle.  It is supposed to celebrate the start of Summer, but as some of you realize Summer begins next weekend.  Regardless, I went to the Fremont Festival today to get some interesting pictures and see the Fremont culture.

Fremont is a city north of Seattle, which has proclaimed itself the "Center of the Universe."  I decided to go check it out!

Fremont Festival!

I wish my sidewalk chalk designs looked this cool!

Cooking Challenge (prep work)!

Event was sponsored by Redhook, a Seattle brewery.

The Dentist's Car.  It was decorated with toothpaste bottles, retainers, and other dentist instruments.
Avatar Car!

If gnomes could drive...

Cool Design, not sure what to label it.

The Cigarette Car

Cigarette butts decorate the Cigarette Car.

This was basically a tank, but I like the labels.

I think this is the perfect sticker for all of the approximations that engineers make.

This is for the kid that never grew out of his Radio Flyer wagon.

 The Pink Flamingo!

Anglerfish Car!

Self-Explanatory!

Car from Starsky and Hutch

Vain thy name is Woman Marketing.

This was an interesting instrument.  It is called a Chapman Grand Stick.

Sitar!

Flowers from a Dogwood Tree!

The Smurf were at the festival!  Although they are larger than I remember. :)

The Center of the Universe!

After coming back from the Center of the Universe, I have to say it was interesting to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
